SPOT-5 (Systeme Pour l’Observation de la Terre — Satellite for Observation of Earth), was launched on May 3, 2001 and decommissioned as of March 31, 2015. The coverage of 60 km x 60 km per scene was a key asset in medium-scale mapping at 1:25,000.
